Gilda L. Kramer

Ms. Kramer’s civil litigation practice includes commercial, employment and personal injury litigation for corporations and individuals.  Specific areas of commercial litigation include contract litigation, representation of partners and shareholders in business disputes, real estate litigation, insurance disputes, fraud and business collection litigation.

Ms. Kramer handles a wide variety of employment matters including race, sex, sexual harassment, age, disability, religion, national origin and pregnancy discrimination and retaliation.  She  litigates cases under the Family and Medical Leave Act, Equal Pay Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, OSHA, Pennsylvania Whistleblower Act, and Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Law and wrongful termination cases.  Ms. Kramer also represents clients as both an advisor and advocate in connection with executive compensation, severance and non-compete agreements.

With extensive experience defending pharmaceutical and product liability cases, Ms. Kramer represents both companies and individuals in personal injury, professional liability, and product liability matters.  She also has substantial experience in alternative dispute resolution, both as an advocate and also as a Judge Pro Tempore, Discovery Master, arbitrator and mediator.

Ms. Kramer has been actively involved in the Philadelphia Bar Association and other professional organizations for most of her career, and previously served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association.  Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the District of Columbia, Ms. Kramer obtained broad litigation experience in two major law firms and government before forming her own law firm in 1989.  From 1981 to 1984, Ms. Kramer served as an Assistant City Solicitor in Major Trials and Deputy City Solicitor in Commercial Litigation at the City of Philadelphia Law Department.

Ms. Kramer resides in Lower Merion Township and is actively involved in her community.  Ms. Kramer also serves on the Boards of the Louis D. Brandeis Law Society Foundation and The Artblog, Inc.
